Eugene holds a master's degree in jazz studies from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and currently teaches guitar at the community college of Southern Nevada. He also has been performing music for more than 15 years. Eugene is a member of ASCAP and is endorsed by the Thomastik-Infeld Strings Company. He has received several awards from Nevada Art's Council, ASCAP and Billboard songwriting contest . Eugene has released 2 CD's with his own compositions recorded by his band on the Las Vegas record label TNC Music Recordings. His Band has participated in such renown festivals as Spirit of Music Festival in San Francisco, CA, Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, ID, International Association of Jazz Educators ( iaje ) in Los Angeles, CA and Fremont Street Jazz Festival in Las Vegas, NV. Eugene has shared the stages with many renown musicians, among them Michel Legrand, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Sandy Duncan, Walt Weiskopf, Buddy Greco, Giggs Whigham and Carl Fontana. In Las Vegas, Eugene and his Band have played in all major hotels and casinos such as Venetian Hotel and Casino, Paris Hotel Casino, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Mirage Hotel and Casino, Mandalay Bay and Aladdin Hotel and Casino. The usual instrumentation is a trio: guitar, bass and drums, but other instruments can be added, such as saxophone (a quartet) or / and female vocaliist. Other instruments can also be added upon the request from the client. The Band can also be downsized to a guitar / bass duo and even a guitar solo. Eugene and his Band is perfect for background music for conventions, conferences, meetings, parties, weddings and other special events and also for the main featured performance / entertainment. The group adapts easily to any room and is very sensitive to clients needs such as volume, breaks etc. The Band plays jazz ( traditional and contemporary, standards and originals ) and also some blues, R&B and other danceable music. Eugene and the Band will also perform any song requested in advance by the client.
