| Description
- Gary originally from Cleveland, Ohio started his musical training at age 8. At 15 he began playing local clubs
as featured soloist with various rock and R & B bands. After studying classical guitar at the Cleveland Institute
of Music, he headed to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music to study jazz guitar, arranging and composition.
After returning to Cleveland he began working in the theater circuit playing countless headliner acts and Broadway
shows. In 1979 he was asked to join "A Chorus Line" and toured thru 1983 with the International Company,
first coming to the Desert Inn in 1981. Gary settled in Las Vegas in 1983 and began playing showrooms and was a
member of the Las Vegas Hilton Orchestra from 1987 thru 1989. In 1988 he became an adjunct faculty member at CCSN,
teaching class and private guitar. Recently, Gary finished a five year run at the Rio Hotel's Masquerade Village
Show in the Sky, is beginning his third year at Commanders Palace Sunday Jazz Brunch and he was featured in "Hometown
Jazz Guitar" at the Winchester Community Center. Gary is married to Irene for 25 years and has 3 children. |
